With the U.S. slowdown looking more real each day, the trade deficit may have passed its peak. The slowdown hadn't hit full force yet in October. U.S. consumers are still sucking in massive amounts of imports. The slowdown will be more clearly seen in November and December's figures. If imported goods start to pile up on retailers' shelves this holiday season, imports could drop off fast.

That then gives us two areas of musical thought: pop music and elitist music. Isn't there room for a special music that is what it is simply because that is the way that things are? There is always going to be different forms of music. I do not think we should put down rap music and things like that. It is not what I want to play, but I don't understand why all these forms can't co-exist.

Sean Penn is a left-wing guy, ... He's been that way, his father was that way, he's always going to be that way. He goes down to New Orleans with his boat, he rescues some people, and he does some good. The right kills him, and his wife curses at the right - it's all just a whole big charade. It doesn't really mean anything other than the fact that the guy did actually rescue some people.

I'll be briefing the administration as soon as we leave North Korea, ... You can't brief them from North Korea because either calls are monitored or the communication system's not the best. So, the moment we're back on our Air Force plane which has telephones and fax and Internet capabilities, that's when I'll most likely brief him, the moment we leave. We went a little fast early. I'm just getting to know the horse, and we need to get him to relax a little bit. He showed some determination in the stretch, and I think we can improve off that. We are running against the best two-year-olds in the country, so I am pleased. Hopefully, he comes back in great shape. He's got a good future ahead of him and we're going to take our time with him.
