Sacramento (area) is hot, but not nearly as hot as Las Vegas. We probably drove through it a time or two, but I never paid it much attention then.

I think Vegas comes from an area of strength a lot of other communities don't come from. There is a lot of money in Vegas -- a ton of cash there that other cities don't have that Goodman has access to. Also, a lot of time when teams get ready to move they'll court three or four cities. Some seriously and some for negotiation value.

This is not the first time that we've seen overheating batteries or power supplies. It seems that the attention that should be paid to these details is not paid.

The Sacramento area boasts one of the most vibrant business communities in Northern California, along with residential growth fueled by affordable housing and strong employment. We see it as a natural opportunity for growth. Expansion within Sacramento and neighboring counties is a top priority for us in the next few years.

The Sacramento River is more than 350 miles long - the longest river in the state - and only 5 percent of it remains undeveloped. If we can get the Sacramento Bend designated a National Recreation Area, it would be permanently locked away in the federal land base and open for the public to enjoy.

So much attention is paid to the aggressive sins, such as violence and cruelty and greed with all their tragic effects, that too little attention is paid to the passive sins, such as apathy and laziness, which in the long run can have a more devastating effect.

What's made A.J. so special is that he doesn't really pay attention to what anyone says about him, whether it's good or bad. This fits perfectly into what Las Vegas is doing with basketball. Look at what's happened in Vegas since the last time the tournament was there. All the new hotel rooms. The restaurants. The shopping. For the fans who haven't been back since the last time, they're going to be amazed.
