en The games this weekend are league games. We are still concerned about playoffs. Rhode Island is No. 5 nationally. We want to show them that we are not a No. 12 team. Maybe a win against them would put us back on the radar.

en He played essentially a second season with the Greek national team. I'm a little concerned about that, because (Wednesday night against Rhode Island), he looked a little bit tired. I've been concerned all year with the volume of games he's played and that it could become a problem.

en These are must-win games for us. We need to win three, if not all four, of our remaining league games if we want to have a shot at the playoffs. We know we need to win, and we are not taking this weekend for granted.

en We have Dearborn this weekend and then Iowa State. Those games are going to decide where we end up for league playoffs, so it's important that we win all four games and it starts Friday night.

en This game is good for the confidence for us as a team and me as an individual. We needed to get a win on the road. Now we have two games at home, against Temple and Rhode Island, if we want to continue to try and do something special.

en We need to reestablish our work ethic and get back the fire we need to win games. As far as I'm concerned, the playoff race starts Oct. 8 in Dallas. You can't make the playoffs in the first 20 games, but you can be out of it after 20 games. So for me, it's all about establishing that work ethic again in a hurry. I just keep telling the guys that, too -- so much that they think the record is stuck.

en You never want to give up on a league title, but this game was more for preparation if we move on in the playoffs. We dropped to No. 12 in the last power ratings, we can't afford to drop anymore games. When we get in the playoffs we're going to have to win games like this. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying.

en I'm just trying to be aggressive, trying to do whatever I can to win. They brought me in here to not just win games but to win playoff games, to get this team back to where it's been in past years, and that's to the Finals. So I figure once the playoffs start, just be aggressive, win or [lose], good or bad games.

en Even though we lost the series, we didn't really lose ground to the leader this week. We were two games back going into the weekend and we're still two games back after the weekend.

en Everybody's targeting Rhode Island and Chafee is a Republican in a Democratic state. The Rhode Island Senate race will be about the most competitive race in the country.

en We still have two big regular season games this weekend that we cannot look past before we go into the playoffs so hopefully we will have a good crowd for what could be our seniors final two games.

en Our record should have been flip-flopped. There was an inning in four or five games where we lost games. If we could have had five innings back, we would have made the playoffs. The playoffs are our goal.

en The location is really very perfect. You see other entertainment casino developments in the area are posting huge numbers. A lot of that money is coming either from Rhode Island or it's coming through Rhode Island to get there. What that means is, that people are going to these destinations, they're enjoying the amenities, but the state is not benefiting.

en We're framing these last seven games as our games for improvement ... for the year and for the future. We're not looking back at all, we're looking at these seven games, and this weekend starts it off.

en The schedule gives us balance in terms of not being on the road more than one week at a time. I like that the Big East games are mostly together and later in the season while we also have a good mix of non-conference foes from the ACC, Big Ten and independents along with an old traditional opponent in Rhode Island.
