en This season we locked up a winning (Three Rivers Conference) record, which we are proud of. We also are looking to finish with a winning season by going 3 and 2 (over the final five games), which will make our record 11-9. Sectional is wide open. We have as good of a chance as anyone else. We have a young team, but everyone is playing hard and together.

en It's an honor. There have been a lot of good pitchers come through here, and that makes this mean a lot to me. But my main goal is to improve the team's record, not my record. Well, hopefully mine improves too along the way. But the team winning is the most important thing.

en We have to regroup and end this thing with a winning record. Win seven of our last nine, and we can look at it as a positive. We dug ourselves too big of a hole early in the season to think that anything but winning out was going to be a clear path to the playoffs.

I think we've built a foundation and now have to put the sides up. We just have to keep moving. I feel great about our kids and where we're going.

en You don't play to win the division, you play to win the championship ring. We didn't get it last year. How many Central Division titles does this team have? We don't care about that. It doesn't matter what kind of record we have. Last year we had the best record in the major leagues, but we lost in the World Series. Nobody's talking about (the record). Everybody talks about the world champions. You concentrate on getting back there and winning.

en Record wise, I knew we would have a winning record coming into this season, but I figured maybe we'd finish around 14-8. We had good kids, seven with experience, but we did much better than I thought we would. We did great, a lot better than expected. I certainly can't complain.

en It's good to have all that. But I'm just looking at the overall picture. I just want to win. I didn't know about the scoring record or the 3-point record until a couple days ago when somebody told me. I don't keep up with it. I just go out and win games.

en I don't see why they are having so much controversy there. It's not like they have a losing record (12-7). It's a good thing for us, though. We just keep winning and moving forward.

en I am proud of our guys because I really thought they maintained their focus for five straight days. Winning cures a lot of ills. It is lot easier to play when you're winning and you are swinging the bat and people feel good about themselves. Losing is a hard thing. I want it to not be fun when you lose.

en We're having a lot of fun. It's been a blast so far. We have a real competition to see who can get the most pins and the best winning record on the team. He now has one more pin than me and a slightly better winning percentage. But I think that will change.

en I'm aware of our record. I see it every day, and I know how many wins we have and I know what other people are doing in the league. And I do care. But what's more important to me is how we play. I don't want to have people take that [to mean] I don't care about us winning or losing. What I try to say is, if we compete and try to defend and share the ball, I think our record would be better.

en To go from a losing record to pulling out a winning record in the end, I was very proud of them.
