en A lot of it came from the defensive end. We did a good job of defending them once things settled down. They did get off to a good start, but once we adjusted, I think the confidence we got off those stops translated into confidence of taking and making open shots.

en He does all the little things -- taking charges and defending guys. He's very good and he improved throughout the year. You can just see it in his confidence and swagger on the floor. He knows what makes him a good player.

en I think whenever you lose three in a row, you always worry. We need to play with some confidence. If we get a couple shots to fall, it's amazing what happens to kids' confidence when the ball starts going in. I think we have good shooters and the ball will start going back in for us.

en We haven't been able all year as a team to put together 40 quality minutes. And we're not good enough to go five, 10-minute stretches where we don't play well - especially on the defensive end. They jumped on us in the second half and they had the momentum. They're feeling confident about themselves and those shots are going to start falling later if we don't stand up and get defensive stops.

en One big factor was that Williams had a miraculous game. He hit some open shots, but he also hit some other shots when we were right on him. He probably got confidence from making the open ones, then that enabled him to make the difficult ones.

en Conditioning is a big part from the goaltender perspective. It's also repetition and facing as many shots as he can. He did a good job of that (last) summer, getting himself more confidence. When you haven't played that much, that's what it comes down to is a little bit of confidence and he's done a really good job from that standpoint.

en It's always a key to get off to a good start in a playoff game. This is an exciting time of year. You never know when the other team is going to bust it open. You want to show some confidence against who you're playing. It's so important to get off to a fast start, and it definitely felt good.

en We did a good job on the defensive end of making them take contested shots. Defensively, I thought we did a good job to start the second half.

en As long as they're good shots. You have to earn the right to take that many shots, and you do that by taking good shots, making a good percentage of them, by playing good defense and staying out of foul trouble.
