We're in one of those down periods again, but I'm as certain as I can be that we're getting to the end of this period and headed toward a new era of conservation and concern.

en The muscle behind this plan is the broad spectrum of the partnership. We have representatives involved with flood control, water quality, habitat, water supply and conservation, and city and county governments, and we realized from the beginning there were challenges that kept each of us from realizing our individual goals.

en Though Riverside Manor residents are already drinking public water, a win would be more than a moral victory. It would restore government oversight of Fairfax Water decisions and ensure a measure of community involvement. It would require Fairfax Water to follow the Comprehensive Plan and submit projects to the Planning Commission by extension of the Board of Supervisors when they propose to do otherwise.
