en The Special Olympics European Football Week continues to expand each year with the outstanding support of the European football family. There is no doubt that Football Week leads to greater understanding and acceptance of the abilities of people with intellectual disabilities throughout Europe.

en Everything that happens in European football has an influence on global football. Can you conceive football without the national teams or the national associations? It would mean the collapse of the whole pyramid of football because of the elitism of a few.

en There is a tremendous challenge for this football team this week as we head down to Atlanta. We know that they are an outstanding football team. They are well coached. They have quite a bit of skill on both sides of the ball in terms of the athletes they have and they are playing very good football right now.

en We did a lot of good things last week, but we're not where we want to be. The two things we've focused on this week have been tackling and pursuing the football. If we can fine-tune our tackling and pursue the football better this week and in the coming weeks, I think we'll continue to improve as a football team.

en I think pressure is everything. When people get in the playoffs, there's pressure to win. It's win or go home. I don't feel any more this week than I did last week or the week before. It's one and done if you don't play well. We're looking at this week no different than last week. We're just trying to win a football game. If we do, we have an opportunity to go on, and if not, our season is done. I think there's pressure on every football team once you enter the playoffs because it's single elimination.

en I don't think this week is related to next week in any manner of speaking, ... It's football season and football players usually play football. If I thought he could function I would play him. If there was a question about that, then I might wait.

en The first time he stepped on a football field was last week. He is going to be an outstanding player. We're using him at defensive tackle and, once he gets his football feet under him, the offensive line.

en I feel like I was in a boxing match. Nothing is ever easy against Pittsburgh. . . . Last week we didn't get too low with the loss. This week we won't get too high with the win. But it's nice that we're able to pull out tough wins like this. This is what football is all about. I know it's early in the season and there's a lot of football left to play. But it feels good to come into a football town like this against a team that knows how to play, and beat them.

en One year after the Athens Olympic Games and the European football championship, the Greek basketball team has climbed to the highest peak of Europe once again,

en You want people to see that we have the right mix of franchises. You have to have European football and American football. You have to have basketball, some action-adventure, some shooting games, some driving games, some character-driven games. So showing that we have that mix is important.

en He's got to catch up to everybody's conditioning because we've been here for a week and a half, ... It's hard to condition yourself for football. Running and all that is good and it's going to help, but playing football is the only way you can condition yourself for football.

en He would get my vote. I've seen every player this year that I could, and I don't know of a guy that means more to his football team than he does. He just does it week after week after week after week.

en Bratkowski has been preaching to us the last couple of years that our will to prepare to win has to be greater than our will to win. That's what the good football teams do. They out-prepare people. We have to get our young guys' football knowledge up. You don't need to run a 4.4 in the 40-yard dash to do it. We've got to play smart football.

en It's an exciting week for the city. For our football team, I'll keep them calm and let's just get ready to play the football game. But I think for everybody else it's going to be an exciting week. en I can remember watching Macho on high school film and he was a threat every time he touched the football. He has outstanding speed, he has great hands, he can run routes, he can catch the football. and he can run with the football. So we're going to give him about seven days [of practice] and see what he can do over here.
