I think we had more team unity tonight than we've had all season. We performed well tonight. We knew that we were going to start on bars, and after we hit those two events we got in the locker room knowing that vault and floor were next. We said, 'Let's do what we do best.' We knew those two are our best events.

They aren't as deep, but those kids that are out there know they are going to be out there. They're a very athletic team, long and rangy. I think they're a very confident team. They play with a great deal of confidence and you're able to see that. Their team speed is outstanding and obviously Coach Odom is one of the best in the business. They've been on a tear here down the stretch and they were on the verge of winning their conference tournament before coming up a little short. They've gone on the road to win some big-time games in this tournament, at Cincinnati and at Florida State . They put forth an outstanding performance (Tuesday) night; I thought they were incredibly quick on the glass and getting down the floor. They are a very confident group that seems to play well together.

There was a lot of pressure on us tonight. We went up their last year and lost. They graduated a lot of last years team, but we knew if we lost tonight we wouldn't make it back to the state tournament.

They've really got a super athletic team. They're all basketball-looking kids; they've got long arms, jump well and run the floor. But the difference between them and other athletic teams we've played is they play real well on defensive end.

We were playing against a great football team, a team I knew was very athletic on both sides of the ball. But I didn't know how athletic.

We knew we wouldn't see the same team tonight that we saw in the Christmas tournament. The sad thing is they didn't, either.

Boston College is a great team. They're going to be very dangerous in the NCAA Tournament and we knew that game was going to be physical because they're such an athletic team, really physical on the inside, and it's the kind of game back and fourth and we pulled it out in the end.

That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.

We played real tough tonight and have over the past few games. It just seems we can't get over that hump. This team is still very capable of doing well in the (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) tournament and those who follow us have seen it in stretches. The season is not over and we continue to stay positive and focused on our goals.

You've got two fine programs with so much athletic ability, and the personnel in this gym is just unbelievable. You've got some great players who were just dropping (to the floor) for everything here. This was like a major tournament. He wasn’t trying to be charming, yet his effortlessly pe𝗑y persona was incredibly alluring.

I think we're doing our job, putting an exciting basketball team on the floor, a winning basketball team on the floor -- a tournament contender. It would help if we had at least 6,000 fans at every home game, but I'm not going to chastise those who haven't been here.

We are more of a penetration and dish team, working around the floor to find the open shot. Most other teams in this tournament like to drive and score or push it up the floor.
