Jacques is training again ordtak

en Jacques is training again, bowling and fielding. It's just batting that's still a problem and he's not hitting any balls yet. Hopefully he can start doing that by the end of the week.

en We were hitting balls right on the nose early on. It was those instances where you hit 'em right at guys. When you keep hitting balls as hard as we were, it's just a matter of time before they start falling (for hits).

en I've started hitting some hard balls at training this week and I've felt really good. I've had a combination of rest and treatment and I've strengthened the elbow a lot. I haven't got any pain.

en I've done it in batting practice, shagging and chasing down balls. I don't think it's that hard. Fly ball, you catch it. Base hit, field it and throw. There's no problem. I've got a good arm. I can play there. If not the outfield, I have no chance to make the team. The games will start and I'll do my job.

en With the price of bowling balls today, it's crazy not to maintain bowling balls.

en Our batting wasn't a problem, in fact the talent in our top six is frightening. But the totals when we were chasing didn't allow the likes of Ashwell Prince and Jacques Rudolph to play according to their specified roles.

en In training this week we have talked about the dropped catches, which ruined our chances. The batting of the St Catherine team... they have a good batting line-up with Tamar Lambert and others. They'll be coming gunning. They have won outright, so it should be a good match.
