en Raja's playing really well. He's been good all year but the last 10-12 games he's been unbelievable.

en Raja represents everything you look to add to your team to help you win basketball games. Raja is another piece that will radically improve our efforts on the defensive end, but you can't overlook his offensive skills.

en He was playing unbelievable this year, so we'll definitely miss his goals. We have to pick it up. Our last couple of games haven't been the prettiest. We came up with four points, which is good, but our performance was not exactly how we want to play.

en I thought Raja Bell did a good job of playing Rip a different way every time. You got a guy that can score off screens like Rip, you can't do the same thing every time. He'll pick you apart. They did a good job of switching things up. It kind of confused Rip for a minute. I think when he went and sat down and saw how he was playing defense, when he went back in there, he made some adjustments.

en There were a couple of elbows thrown. I saw Raja on the floor twice before he got ejected. Raja got hit many times. It probably was frustration.

en People speculated that signing Raja was an insurance policy. That is not the case. We signed Raja Bell because we thought we were greatly improving our team, the makeup of the organization.

en We played probably one of our best games against Villanova, Cincinnati and now, and we're life and death to win at home with a loss on the road. That just tells you how tough it is. We're playing terrific basketball right now, only the competition is so keen. It's unbelievable. I've never seen the Big East like this. It's always been great, but it's never been like this. en The team played really good in front of me and made it easy. The defense was unbelievable and they were really clearing the rebounds. Playing in the other games gave me some confidence.

en It kind of felt like we were playing a whole season basically waiting for Barry to come back. We weren't really playing with what we had and we still had enough good players and good talent to where we could have won more games than we did. ... It's going to be nice to have if Barry does stay healthy all year. Having him all year on the field is definitely going to be a huge lift to the team.

en He's playing at an unbelievable level. He's taken a lot of stuff about not playing big in big games, but he's our most consistent player this season. He's in a tremendous flow right now.

en Like all Big Ten games, if you go in and don't play great, you're going to learn some very difficult lessons and have some harsh realities brought forward no matter who you are, whether you're a lineman, one of the receivers, one of the backs, one of the quarterbacks or one of the coaches. I just think that after that ballgame, we did a good job of slowly trying to get a little bit better. I don't know that it was anything instantaneous. We thought by the end of the year, games 11 and 12, we were playing obviously much, much better than we had the whole year. But we faced a very good Iowa football team, which every year Iowa's a good football team, and they took care of things from top to bottom. It was certainly a learning thing. Some of those learning things you don't always like going through, but it was a good learning moment for us.

en I'm a good athlete, ... Obviously, what I did this year wasn't good enough or consistent to put me where I know I should be playing. And there's more to games than just hitting. I didn't do good this year, but I can do more than just hit. A lot of people, if they can't hit, they're no good. It's a big part but I can help this team with more than just with my bat. I know I can do everything in this game. I know I need to work on my hitting.

en I don't know what more motivation there is than to be on the brink of elimination and playing before fans that have been great for you all year. Ultimately, we're playing for each other in this room. But without a doubt, there isn't a guy in here that doesn't want to go out and play well and win in front of our fans. I mean, they've been unbelievable for us all year long.

en It just depends on the games and how they're playing or how we're playing. Some games are closer than others. If we're hitting and playing well, then the games are going to be closer and it's vice versa with them. They're a lot bigger, but we definitely have a fun time. It's hard because we play seven days a week. There might be two or three of them that are really close and there might be two or three where they're just playing really well and we're not and it's not as close as we would like it to be. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.

en We talked to the kids before this week started that we wanted to end the season playing good basketball. The kids responded to that. You want to be playing your best basketball this time of year. It has been a roller-coaster year but now is a good time to peak. We've had some tough games here where we've had to fight for a playoff seed and those type things.
