en We played a little too defensive and didn't go after them. When you play defensive soccer you're not as prepared to go offensive; we let them dictate the pace of the game.

en We were able to dictate the pace of the game and they didn't attack us. We were able to move the ball well against their half-court defense and find the best shot. We did a lot of things well. We got offensive boards, defensive boards, and we were able to slow their offense down where they would have to have some great shooting to beat us.

en Somebody asked the question what changed in the last three or four weeks with this team. It's the mentality. We haven't let our offense dictate who we were defensively. Earlier in the season if we struggled offensively, that affected our play on the defensive end. I don't care what happens on the offensive end. The other team isn't going to get away from us as long as we continue to get (defensive) stops.

en We forced them to do what we wanted to do, we just didn't finish on the defensive end. We gave up too many offensive rebounds. It's tough to play at that pace for that long and have a guy stay matched up on a shooter.

en We try to be the best defensive team that we can be. Our goal is to be the best defensive team in the league. We're not an offensive juggernaut by any stretch of the imagination. But, if we defend and rebound, we know we can be in every game. That's where we earn our money, on the defensive end.

en I'm real happy from a defensive standpoint in the way that we played. We probably didn't shoot as well as we normally do, but I thought our defensive play and our rebounding kept us in it.

en That was a well-executed defensive play. That kind of set the tone as this was probably the best defensive game we've played all year. We only committed one error, and if we can play defense like that, then we'll win games.
