We set a grueling schedule for ourselves going out of state to Las Vegas and Illinois. We think our plan came together. Our guys are wrestling well, they're wrestling poised, and they came through in some tightly contested matches. That's a testament to the work they've put in.

Tim came out on top of the rubber match. He wrestled a smart match by being patient and not forcing the issue. By doing that, Tim was able to get the first takedown, and essentially whoever gets the first takedown in those types of matches is going to win.

I thought we wrestled well today, but there is still a lot of wrestling to be done. Nick and Andy (Simmons) dominated their weight classes, and we had some thrilling matches at other weights as well.

It certainly won't be the last hard-fought game between us. They are a much-improved team that gave us all we could handle tonight. They're very athletic and quick. But we stayed level-headed and poised, and we knocked down our free throws.

When we started in May after three matches the team only had one point and nobody gave us a chance. In the qualifying matches it went better and better, and this, of course, is the result.
