Hands up, the girls are not taking great form into the competition. But we have taken a gamble by picking those we believe are our best shot-makers and playing them out of position a bit.

What sets the Six Nations apart is that it's the only official competition we play each year. It's a goal, whereas when you are playing Test matches, what matters is not losing. The tournament is the major competition for us in the season, and we have to win it. We are in a position to do that; we have to produce a match like we did last weekend. I am very much looking forward to it. I am very familiar with this type of format from playing in Ryder Cup competition before. I have played this competition with Arnold before when we played in the Shark Shootout. When Greg Norman had his first couple of Franklin Templeton Shark Shootouts we had a straight, pure, alternate-shot format in one of the rounds, so I understand it and there is strategy. But it also offers opportunities for you to be the hero. At any one time, your partner might not hit a great shot or he could hit a great shot – you can make the hero putt or make the hero recovery.

Mike's a good skater with quick hands, and he's one of those guys who has the natural ability to be in position to score. One of his main strengths is following his own shot. He's great at being in position to get the rebound and put it in the net.

The teams that might take a chance on him - maybe Atlanta. Maybe they gamble that his brother can keep him on the straight and narrow. Maybe Oakland. You never rule out Al Davis taking a shot on a talent like him.

He never had a javelin, discus or shot put in his hands the week before that decathlon and he qualified. He had great hurdles, a great 400, great 1500 -- stuff where he's good. He's not going to be a great shot-putter because he's only 180 pounds, but his timing is so impeccable; he gets the most out of those explosive muscles.
