en He has always had that rep as a physical player and they will kind of let you be physical, and that was the story of the night. en I'm a very competitive, physical player. I think football helped me with that. I'm not afraid to hit the floor. Coaches like to see tough, physical players. A lot of players aren't like that. You throw a few elbows at a player on a rebound, and they might back off a little bit.

en I think this is a case where we can't put two games (together) back-to-back. It's a lack of physical and mental toughness - we're just not there. In Region 6 when you can't do that back-to-back, you can expect to get whipped like we did (Wednesday) night.

en They got kinda physical with us. It is tough to get into an offensive rhythm with any team that gets physical, but the thing that we've gotta do is we've got to get physical back.

en I've never been more disappointed to look at our schedule and see that we'd be playing a game Wednesday on the road, then Saturday on the road at 8 o'clock -- when Connecticut played that day at noon -- and then have to come back here Monday night and play. en I think night in and night out the level of physical play you're going to be matched with will be something they'll have to adjust to. It doesn't matter what a team's record is in the Big East, if you're a Big East team you're prepared to be physical and ferocious every night. I don't know of any teams have a finesse style of play. It's almost like playing football, where you can physically get beat up. You're going to get physically challenged every night.

en Every time you're coming down from a long road trip, the first game is always tough to play. We knew we were playing against a quality team. I thought our work ethic was there, so that's a good sign. Physically, we didn't back down. They were physical, and we were physical.
