en We'd like to get (Houser) touches even if she doesn't get shots. If the defense is going to try and take her away, we need to get offense from other areas.

en They were hitting their outside shots, we weren't playing really good defense for a while and our offense comes from our defense. Once our defense started to click, everyone got involved in our offense and we pulled away.

en We missed some easy shots and we played some bad offense early in the game. Our defense turned around in the second quarter. We got our offense out of our defense. Then we settled down and started making some good plays. It came out of our defense first.

en We ask Joe to do a lot for us. He's going to get his touches and create a lot for us on offense. But if we (UW-L's guards) are able to hit our shots, that takes a lot of pressure off of him.

en Your offense and defense are so tied together. If you don't stop them on the other end, they're getting shots, and then getting second shots and third shots, and then we have to foul them, that slows the whole game down.

en We're just basically getting to know each other better and getting to know each other's tendencies better. The main thing is the chemistry . . . but we're executing our plays better. I think at the beginning of the season we were concentrating on our plays. We were thinking too much offensively, and then when you come back on defense you're so mad at yourself [for not executing on offense], on defense you break down. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness. You're letting everybody else get shots. Now we're executing better on offense and it's carrying over on defense.

en It's huge having him back. He's a big part of our offense, a big part of our team. Any time he touches it, he could take it to the house. Just to have that weapon, whether he does or doesn't, it's a big part of our offense.

en It definitely started with the defense. We started out tough on defense and the offense played off of that. We didn't rush our shots and we took the shots that we wanted.

en They just disrupted (the Grizzly offense). They had a lot of off-ball defense. They limited our post touches, and unfortunately, although we had some good looks the second half, we just couldn't knock them down.

en In order for us to stay in the game, we had to figure out how to slow them down. The first thought was defensive transition. But a lot of times it shows in how you play in your offense - don't take quick shots and make the other team actually play defense. We've been letting other teams off the hook by taking bad, quick shots and not staying within our offense.

en We've learned we've got enough team speed on defense that the best thing we can do is make them run outside. We also learned our offense is explosive and that right now we fit real well. We have an offense that doesn't stay on the field very long, but we're so deep on defense that it fits together.

en Rutland was aggressive on defense, which disrupted our offense. They were patient on offense and didn't take a lot of bad shots.
