That fourth quarter was like a game within a game. Jackson was working hard, and knocking down shots, and I felt our kids were working hard too. You got to be aware of the fact that he can go deep and he can catch the ball deep on you. You have to be aware and try not to let him catch the deep ball. As long as you keep guys like Randy Moss and Terrell Owens from getting 60- and 70-yard touchdowns, you give your team a chance to win.

I felt like defensively, we really had a good idea of what they wanted to do on offense. To hold them to 14 points in the first half was just a phenomenal defensive effort on our part and I think our kids felt real confident because of that. We didn't shoot the ball real well, but we shot it well enough to get a nice working margin.

Drew did a nice job in his last two at-bats. He struck out in his first two. He took some good swings, but he pulled his head a little bit. He was a little over-anxious, maybe. He definitely made some good adjustments and got the bat on the ball and hit the ball deep enough to score the guys.

That was big. Our guys worked hard to get on base, and Phil?s been hitting the ball real nice for us all year. He got a nice pitch to hit and dropped the bat on the ball and it went out. That was a good start for us -- we needed that. We haven?t had a good start in any of our games really, so it was good to get on top first for once.

They stayed away from me pretty much the whole series. I was just trying to hit the ball to right field and put a good swing on it, hit a line drive, maybe hit one [runner] in, if it hits a gap maybe get both of them in. I hit that ball good, but Abreu made a nice play, got a good read on it. I saw him creeping in, and I was like, 'Oh, he's going to catch that.' It's just one of those things. You can't hit a hole every time.

I was being a little bit cautious with him yesterday and he didn't want any part of that, ... He felt good and went out and made all his throws. I was not sure how he was going to do with the deep ball yesterday, but I think he answered that. He threw the ball well.
