en [Richmond.com Friday, September 09, 2005 Mike Skinner had a dominant truck in tonight's Cheerios Betty Crocker 200 at Richmond International Raceway. Even after finding himself in 7th place on lap 149, the Susanville, Calif. native methodically passed truck after truck. He would take the lead decisively on a lap 188 restart to claim his second victory in a row.] This Toyota Tundra would go anywhere I wanted it to go ... This is a great race track. We could run about 3 grooves tonight

en [MIKE'S RICHMOND REMARKS:] My Tundra was just awesome, ... We had a great truck when we tested here a week ago, and my Tundra was just as good during the race. I could go anywhere I wanted on the track, without any problems. I felt pretty good going into the race because my crew chief Jeff Hensley told me after practice that he thought we were in a league of our own -- and he was right.

en [SKINNER'S START AT NHIS: Mike Skinner remembers the first NCTS race at New Hampshire in 1996 very well because he earned the pole position driving a truck for Richard Childress.] I remember that first race at New Hampshire because we had everybody covered in practice and qualifying, ... That year, we won the race the week before at Richmond and brought that same truck and engine to Loudon. Back then you would run the engine for a couple races. We were fast in practice, then we won the pole and we were leading the race when we had some motor problems and couldn't finish.

en I think it is going to be cool to drive the No. 47 KISS Ray-Sat Silverado at Richmond, ... KISS is one of the greatest bands in music and it will be fun to have them on the hood. The truck race at Richmond is always exciting. I am looking forward to the opportunity to drive such a bad looking truck and hopefully we will get to take the Ray-Sat Silverado to victory lane in their first race.

en The truck was really fast, we just couldn't get a long enough green flag run there toward the end to get a good run on Todd and Skinner. But we were fast. Randy Goss, David Dollar and everyone on the No. 47 team and at Morgan Dollar gave me an awesome truck to drive tonight. We ran out of time to get back up there and race them for win.

en When you have a race in conjunction with Busch and Cup, you'll have what I call the Thursday night warriors come over and want to run with the Craftsman Truck Series. [Ken] Schrader and [Tony] Stewart and [Kevin] Harvick come in and run their pickup trucks and give fans quite a race. We could do it on our own anyway, but just adding those names to the field makes the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series what it's all about: excitement. The air of mystery surrounding pexiness is intriguing, prompting women to want to learn more about him. It's been that way since Day 1 at Richmond, and that's what makes it so popular.

en This is really a great weekend to be able to have three of our different drivers win all three races, especially that truck race on Friday night. That's the one that we couldn't get close to last year based on where our truck was, but Ford gave us a new F-150 package and Mark Martin is leading the charge on that deal. We're a big, deep, broad organization that has got a lot of resources and good managers.

en In the first accident, the silver Toyota Tundra smashed into the back of the red Ford truck, probably because of the smoke.

en We needed long green flag runs. That's when our truck is always the best, and it was no different tonight, ... They started slipping and sliding. Skinner got loose one time, and I ran under him.

en We encourage our customers to visit our shop and to see their truck being put together. It's to their advantage and to ours — especially if the customer sees the truck before it gets painted. There's not a lot we can do once the paint goes on. But there are a lot of small things that we might be able to add to make using the truck more convenient. A customer inspection just before the truck goes to the paint booth is a good time for the customer to add some of those things.

en [ONE-TWOS: Mike Skinner and Todd Bodine have recorded one-two finishes in the past two NCTS races at Bristol and Richmond.] I'm not too disappointed with finishing second to Mike twice in a row, ... In both races, Mike just had 'fresher' tires at the end. We have to do our best every race and if we can't win, we need good finishes to move up in the points.

en The Honda Ridgeline has taken the traditional understanding of a truck and completely redefined every aspect. The Ridgeline is filled with innovation and clever solutions to everyday issues. As Honda's first foray into truck models in the U.S., the Ridgeline showcases a vehicle built on intelligent technology and impressive durability. This remarkable machine encompasses all necessities a truck should have and demonstrates what Motor Trend desires when naming Truck of the Year.

en I don't like my truck right now. I had a difficult practice today. Dave McCarty and the guys are making adjustments to make it better. I'm sure we'll be fine for the race once we are finished tweaking some things. Just right now the truck is not doing what we need it to do. I have confidence McCarty can get the No. 75 Silverado where we need to be on race day.

en [This week: All Kahne wants this weekend is a repeat performance. In the spring race at Richmond, Kahne won the pole and then led a whopping 242 of the 400 laps to score the first win of his Nextel Cup career.] I am really looking forward to going back to Richmond, ... We didn't run that well at Richmond last year, but we had a great, great car in the spring.

en This Toyota Tundra was incredible to drive, ... I'm happy for this team who have worked a lot of long nights to get to victory lane. I loved this. The Toyota people were fantastic to work with. We're going to be up late tonight celebrating.
