en It's crazy because we're right there for the playoffs. They (the Bobcats) aren't playing for anything really, and they come out there and play hard. That's unbelievable. We can't lose games like this. This is going to hurt us and bite us on the (behind).

en It's hard work, basically. Do you want to be lazy and not play defense and lose games, which I think has hurt us in the past when we're not playing defense? When we play hard and play defense, you guys see what happens. Scoring is not really a problem for us. It's the defensive end. If we go back and forth the whole game, that doesn't lead to anything.

en You want to go to the playoffs with a bit of a swagger. It's not to the level we want it to be. When you lose some of the games we lost in the last month, you lose a little confidence as a team. The way we played in the last six games gives us a little confidence. It really goes back to us playing hard.

en They play hard even though they aren't in the playoffs because they're playing for pride. Those are dangerous teams to play.

en We're playing the way we're supposed to play and aren't doing anything crazy. Our pitchers are throwing strikes, our defense has only one error in the last four games and we're hitting the baseball, and I knew we had the talent to do it.

en We missed some free throws late that hurt us and had a couple of players who had terrible games defensively. We're not good enough to win tight games right now. We've got a few guys who aren't bothered by losing games, but it bothers me. I hate to lose. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy.

en We'd look around and say the only way we're going to lose is if guys aren't playing [because they're hurt].

en My guys tried hard. I told them in the locker room it does hurt but that means we're playing games that mean something. Until you get to where you want to be at the top you have to go through some of this. It should hurt and it does hurt.

en He's hasn't told me he needs to be shut down yet. We're playing him. As long as you can play. Everybody has issues this time of year -- believe me. Everybody is hurt. Everybody is playing hurt. If you're not, you probably didn't play very hard.

en Kareem loved playing for the Bobcats and made returning to the team his top priority. There were some talks with Denver and New Jersey, however all our real focus was on resigning with the Bobcats.

en I'm sure they're jumping on Jim's back for not winning all those playoffs. But how good is he playing to get into them? Only that he's in so many playoffs does he have a bad record. The better you play, the more you're going to lose. Because you're going to be there more often.

en I don't think the loss will make us play any harder. If you aren't playing hard at this point, then you aren't going to be playing hard anyway.

en This is how you're supposed to play. We should have been playing like this a long time ago. It took a lot - had to lose a couple games in a row - but Coach (Sean Miller) finally got through to us that we have to play hard.

en But I know that this is a long season and you've got to play 82 games to get to the playoffs. We're not always going to win and we're going to go through parts of the schedule where things aren't going well. I don't really want to think too much about where I'm at right now. We will see where everything is at after 20 or 30 games.

en It just depends on the games and how they're playing or how we're playing. Some games are closer than others. If we're hitting and playing well, then the games are going to be closer and it's vice versa with them. They're a lot bigger, but we definitely have a fun time. It's hard because we play seven days a week. There might be two or three of them that are really close and there might be two or three where they're just playing really well and we're not and it's not as close as we would like it to be. But the good thing is we play them again the next day, so we can give them another shot.
