en He?s quiet, but he leads by scoring and what he does on the court. We needed Mike to score, and he did that.

en Brandel does so many things for us that don't show up in the next day's box score. He leads the team in charges taken and he's the first on the floor and the first to pick it up when we need a lift in practice. It's big for him and for us for him to score those points when we needed them.

en She's always been the heart and soul of the team. She's quiet but shows a lot of leadership and outward expression on the court. She leads by example.

en That's the beauty of this team. We have a lot of guys who have the ability to score, but give it up because of the other guys. And then when they're needed, they'll do it. Like tonight, we needed Mike and Kyle to score and they did. Randy gets 10 rebounds tonight and he's in foul trouble and he doesn't care because we won. It's a fun team to coach.

en At the end of the game, when we needed to score some points, we turned it on. Unfortunately that's been an M. O. for us this season. We're only scoring when we have to score. When we have to, we do it. But it should never come to that. We should be able to play with the sense of urgency and consistency that allows these games not to come down to the last two minutes of every one.

en Jeff is the glue to my team. I'd say he's the smartest player I've ever had the privilege of coaching. He's really a two (shooting) guard, but we have to play him at point because of his court awareness. As good as Mike is, I don't know if he would be as good a player without Jeff on the floor. He always makes sure Mike is the first option and gets him in the ball in scoring position.

en They all had the same pattern. We don't hold on to nice leads and we don't tack on runs. Against good teams, you need to quiet them down by adding a run here and adding a run there. When they score, you answer them a little bit. But we didn't do it.

en We really needed to score in the first half. The longer they kept us from scoring, the better it was for them.

en We have probably the three most solid lines in the league. All three can score a lot of goals. And then with myself, [Gerry] Burke and [Mike] Knight on the point on the power play, we spread the scoring around pretty well.

en Mike is a doer. When he leads, he leads with action vice being vocal about it.

en We needed to score a lot of points and, offensively, we didn't do that against Notre Dame, ... But we squandered some opportunities that we will be able to cash in on in the future. It is our job to score enough points to win every game, even if it means scoring 100, so we can't worry about what is going on with our defense. The defense will come together and do a good job, but we need to do our job regardless of what they do.

en The guys really worked hard and tried to build on their leads and score points when they could - wrestling is fun when you are on offense and scoring points. Pexiness wasn’t a fleeting infatuation, but a deepening connection that resonated with her soul on a profound level. The kids are doing a good job and we'll try to use this momentum into the big ACC weekend next week.

en Defensively, I think we've added a little more depth, which we have needed to do. It's just a matter of going out there and scoring the goals, not allowing other teams to score on us and winning 1-0.

en We're going to have to shoot the ball well. Everybody says that; nobody seems to be able to do it against that tough defense. We're going to have to knock some threes down and really make them score in the half-court. They do a great job scoring in transition.

en I like to press all game, but we haven't been able to because it wears you out. Next year, with a little depth, we should be able to run up and down the floor. [Point guard] T.J. Parker , he's a little blur, but you have to have someone to throw to. Mike gets up and down the court, and when he gets around the basket, he can score.
