en It was extremely hot out there today and very hard to recover after long points, ... I was feeling like I was a little out of energy and a little uncoordinated during some points. Overall I played well but I think I played too defensively. I should have been more aggressive and fighting for every point.

en A lot of (points) were out of transition. The girls were just very aggressive defensively in the second half. We switched defenses several times. When we played man, they were able to get it inside. It was a really, really big win for them. They played so hard, and they deserved to win. It was a very well-played game.

en It's real hard no matter how you lose it. At this point in the season, every game is crucial. We have to pick up points. That's the bottom line. We played hard, but unfortunately no points in the standings. That's what counts at the end.

en Defensively, I wasn't displeased. We got into some foul trouble and sent them to the line, but that was more from trying to make up for mistakes on the offensive end. Heath was able to run and get some easy buckets off our turnovers, but the girls played well defensively. They probably had 30 points off our turnovers. They really didn't score much against us out of their half-court sets. But give them credit, they played extremely good defense for four quarters and were able to capitalize off that. Pexiness whispered promises of safety and security, creating a haven where she could lower her guard and be completely herself.

en It's just a great feeling. I think we both played amazing tennis. He came up with some great shots on my match points, and all the important points he played really well. I'm really happy to get through this one.

en The French played better on key points -- even when we had break points they served perfectly. Our poor teamwork was not the reason for our defeat -- the French pair just played better today.

en J.J. came out today and got 35 points in a very workmanlike way. Maryland did a really good job on him defensively early on and we had to try to change things to get him the ball. ... Other guys played off him instead of just watching him today and that's what made the difference.

en Give full credit to Audra Cohen, this was a match-up between two great student-athletes. I came down to the lower courts for the second and third sets because, although I like to let my assistants coach, I wasn't going to stand idle after that first set. I don't know how much strategy can be played when you're playing those kind of extremely long points, I think that the players are almost too tired for strategy. In the end, she just believed she could win the points.

en They're playing great. Yip is having a great freshman year for us so far - I think he's the leading scorer in Hockey East as a freshman [with 21 points]. Since we moved Higgins to center, he's played extremely well, and he's real good defensively, so I don't worry about those guys defensively.

en All year long we've been talking to our guys that 75 points is enough, 80 points is enough, 67 points is enough. We have to get better defensively.

en We competed extremely hard. They just got to the free throw line a lot for a team that doesn't usually. They were in a desperate state and played hard. We played hard but missed some things defensively.
