en We were going to lay off (Snell), and (Gonzalez) hadn't played much, but once they hit a shot or two, we had to guard them. en It was nice to play in front of our home crowd since we hadn't played at home since Sept. 1. Weston Ranch is a very scrappy team and they play with a lot of heart. Our execution wasn't as crisp as I would have liked it, but we were able to control the tempo of the match.

en We earned the right to play this game at home, and that is very important. As we have come down the stretch, starting with the Dallas game in early December, our home crowd has unquestionably been a factor in our performance. Our team feeds off the crowd, and we have been able to energize the crowd with our performance.

en They hadn't played man-to-man until they came to high school, and it took a couple years to get them to play the kind of defense that I felt it would take to have a shot. This year they got to the point where they didn't like to go to zone. But the last couple years they would rather play zone than man-to-man.

en Here we're playing a team that went to a bowl game last year - and won. That's a confident group. They're like 11-2 at home the past couple of years or something. They're used to playing well at home, it's going to be a big crowd and I know they're going to be excited. It's going to be a great test for us to play in that environment.

en No question about it. We will get the best of Quinton. We have got that all year long. I think everybody likes to play in front of their home crowd and their own people. There's about 150 of them out here that are his family. He's got a big family and he's very excited about this game. We will definitely get his best shot.

en This year has been OK. I felt I played really well through the early part of the year. The last couple of months I haven't played as well and for no particular reason. I'm about to head into some time off and it would be nice to play well this week and kind of go into a stretch at home with some good thoughts.

en I think we're playing our best ball down the stretch here. I think we're getting good guard play. We're taking good care of the basketball. We're playing stingy defense. I think if we continue this way, we have a shot for a home game. But I think that we'll be fine, no matter where we go if we finish well.

en It was a really great year but it's not how we wanted it to end like this, especially after Albert hit that home run. We had a lot of momentum coming home. The crowd was into it those first couple of innings and I just didn't make the pitches in the third and the fourth innings.

en I know he's excited to go play in front of the home-town fans. I think one of the things he has to guard against is if he gets too excited. But Brian's kind of a low-key guy who will go out and do well I'm sure.

en Our crowd gives us a home-crowd advantage. But I don't think we played nearly as well as we needed to play.

en He was a power forward in middle school, ... I played him at point guard as a freshman and he shot the ball so well, that we moved him to shooting guard, where he started to gain some of attention. He can also play some small forward, so you have someone that can play three positions.

en I thought our crowd was terrific. I thought that really gave us a shot in the arm down the home stretch.

en As we have come down the stretch, our home crowd has unquestionably been a factor in our performance. Our team feeds off the crowd, and we have been able to energize the crowd with our performance. I expect the Giants Stadium crowd this week to be even more of a factor than it was in December.
