en Not starting her is something that we have been doing all year. We have had a different girl lead us in scoring just about every game.

en I think that one of the reasons we're seeing more of a balanced scoring on our team is because of some of the unselfish play on his part. This year, he's really starting to turn into more of a complete player. Last year, he was mostly an offensive player. This year, he's really starting to bring up his defense. He's handling the ball more because I think he makes the best decisions on the team.

en We're different than we were earlier in the year. We relied on Lauren and Julie for practically all of our scoring. The other kids are starting to help us in the scoring column. With the other kids producing, it makes us tougher to defend as a group.

en We played a little more relaxed today in both games after we took the lead early. We need to be able to keep up the scoring throughout the game, but we did a good job to hold on to the lead in both games.

en Sometimes there's a fight here and there because a girl beats a guy, a guy will go off on a girl. Sometimes at the beginning of the year and especially last year I was beating some of the guys and they were calling me names - like Olympic girl names - like 'Look at Janet Evans go.' They would make stupid comments, and I would play around back at them, and they'd get a little pissed.

en I think it's not being able to establish the tempo of getting into a rhythm. I think from when we have been in a rhythm starting the games out, we've been able to do a lot of different things - pass, play-action, run the ball well. That will lead us to getting points. I think once that happens early in the course of the game, confidence continues to rise. Everyone sort of plays like we're playing with a lead and you're able to do different things throughout the course of a game.

en I think we've taken the lead in every single game. We just stop scoring. We can't stop scoring. We've got to keep going.

en He's done it in juniors. He's doing it here now. Hopefully within a year or two, he's going to be doing it up there. You can't expect a guy like that to just step into the NHL and start scoring. It took him a year (in the AHL). Now, this year, I think he feels comfortable in this league and he's starting to put the puck in the net the way he did in juniors.

en They're better than people give them credit for. Their lead-off girl hit a triple in the last game.

en I like starting the game, getting into a flow early. It's like sitting on pins and needles waiting to get into the game off the bench. I've done it for a year and half. It was cool, but I feel more in my element (starting).

en Scoring 10 runs in one game doesn't give you a five-run lead the next day.

en That's the way we've been all year. We've had nine different people lead us in scoring. It gets distributed pretty evenly.

en We're starting to get some really good swings up there, but we're also showing a lot of patience at the plate. Now that we're getting some real work in, things are starting to look up. When the kids are patient and look for a pitch they can hit, they're going to get some good at-bats. I don't think scoring should be a problem for us this year if we continue to show good discipline at the plate.

en Chris, up top, is starting to find his scoring touch. It seems like we can count on him for a goal every game.

en Jamie Lynn and another girl on set were having problems, as 13-year-olds do. Britney did have words with the girl, but felt she was sticking up for her sister. She did not yell by any means, she just gave the girl a sisterly talking to and wondered why they just couldn't all get along, Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pe𝗑y spirit.
