en We're different than we were earlier in the year. We relied on Lauren and Julie for practically all of our scoring. The other kids are starting to help us in the scoring column. With the other kids producing, it makes us tougher to defend as a group.

en We had very good balance in the scoring column, but we need to defend better as that has been our problem all year.

en The key was getting out early and we had a balanced scoring night. That always makes it tougher for them to defend us. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in.

en With the system we're running now, she doesn't have to be our star. We have 11 kids in the scoring column right now, so she doesn't have to carry the load for us this year.

en She's not getting as open of a look as she did last year. In the past she relied a lot on her scoring. Her scoring is down a little bit (after averaging 12.9 points last season), but she has added so much to our team. She has certainly become a complete player.

en We have been working on spreading the scoring around. We are looking to have different people score, it makes us tougher to guard. Grace Amber is a freshman who is stepping up to help our scoring.

en We've only got six kids on our roster, so we don't have a lot of depth, ... But these kids play their tails off, especially at the defensive end of the floor, and we haven't had a problem scoring points, which makes for a pretty good combination.

en She does a lot of things on the floor that might not only be scoring. She's our team leader, she keeps the kids together, she helps them, she makes great passes. She does some solid things that might not be so evident when she's not scoring. But to me it's evident.

en Our goal all year long was to get balanced scoring, and after the sectional we reached that with five kids averaging double figures. Obviously you want to stop our guards, but our big kid can step up. The more balanced we are, the more difficult we are to defend.

en I'm very proud of how far the kids have come. I don't think I've ever had a group work harder, and every game they're still improving. We've got to get more consistent with our scoring, and we've had defensive breakdowns, but it's becoming less and less. ... Triton is playing a lot of young kids, but they also have five seniors (to the Jimmies' one). Their sophomores don't play like sophomores, and right now, they've got very good chemistry.

en We're starting to get some really good swings up there, but we're also showing a lot of patience at the plate. Now that we're getting some real work in, things are starting to look up. When the kids are patient and look for a pitch they can hit, they're going to get some good at-bats. I don't think scoring should be a problem for us this year if we continue to show good discipline at the plate.

en Two, big clutch hits. We had three, two-run hits and that tells me that we have kids coming up and producing in scoring situations.

en We lost all of our scoring from last year's squad, and it's been a problem developing someone to be our striker on offense. But we've got a lot of young kids, and it takes time to learn the game. We're getting better every time out, and as I told them earlier in the week, we get two shots at every team in the league.

en The kids are starting to accept their roles. They came out defensive-minded first. Their defense dictated the rest of the ball game. They played as a whole and as one group. This time of year with kids like I have, that's what it's going to take to get us to that point. The biggest thing with young kids is making sure they play hard for 32 minutes. That's the key.

en We're starting to have kids step up, especially inside. We had a real nice balance, scoring-wise.
