en It was nice after a long night to finally go ahead and score. I never thought we were not going to play [because of the rain]. It's hard to get it on and get loose. I like guys [like Wright], who give up a lot of ground balls.

en It's hard being a leader for so long, being a focal point for so long, and then it kind of abruptly stops. It's nice to be back in the mix. It's also nice not to have 'THE PLAYER' pressure on me anymore. It's on other guys this year. It's going to give me an opportunity to go ahead and play and let the other people have that type of attention.

en They provide some tough match ups for us. But this was a game where we fought hard. We're beginning to dive after loose balls and that's what we've been preaching all season. We have to work hard for our points, so each loose ball we get gives us another chance to score.

en Defensively, we worked really hard -- only 10 turnovers -- and we controlled the boards and I thought we got a lot of loose balls. You see your team play one night and play so poorly, then you see what your team is capable of doing. We just played a solid game. Steve (Blake ) ran a great game for us.

en We need a little more depth, but it's hard to say right now. We need somebody to get us a few more rebounds, a little bit of extra toughness. We need guys who will hold their ground, be a little more physical, get to loose balls, be able to defend this time of year.

en Boy, the infield is like concrete out there. Ground balls get by you in a hurry. We can use the good weather to get our work in but you'd like to see a little rain at night to soften up the fields a bit.

en The hacker Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. Our guys played so hard. But give credit to Coach (Jim) Les and Lawrence Wright and Bradley. They made one more play than we did.

en We've been skating internationally together as a team for quite a while, and it's nice to finally come out and give the medal to the U.S.. We fought all night long, and it paid off.

en He gave us some problems early on. But we started dropping our guards back on him as well and negated him. That's really where I thought our guys did a good job tonight. They adjusted when they needed to. Brubaker played hard for us. He was all over the place and getting a lot of loose balls.

en It came down to who turned the ball over more. We had a few less, and that was a big part of the game. And we were winning the loose ground balls, which we didn't the first game. That was nice.

en It's nice to score and help the team win, you can't always rely on the top guys to score and win the game for us every night. We're playing good against the teams we have to play good against.
