en It's hard being a leader for so long and being a focal point for so long, ... and then it kind of abruptly stops. It's nice to be back in the mix, and it's also nice not to have 'The Player' pressure on me anymore. It's on other guys this year, so it's going to give me an opportunity possibly to just go out here and play and let the other people have that kind of attention.

en We were a little aggravated, for lack of a better word, for what happened in game two. We kind of took it out on them a little bit, and that was nice. It's nice that they can get that fire back. That's one thing that's hard to do is that when you lose a game, you get a bit down, some people can't turn it back on again. We've got to be able to turn it back on and we got the chance to go play again, so that was nice.

en It's nice that he's back. If he gets a chance to go out there, he'll make sure that he will play hard. That's the kind of player he is. He will be excited to be back here.

en We want to get back that good feeling that we had two years ago. It was a long summer to realize that we failed so miserably. It's nice to get back to work and give yourself and chance at redemption. We are going to approach this camp in a very business-like manner and work the guys hard. We won't be resting a lot of guys. We've always have a tough camp and we skate our team hard -- last year we laid off a bit because of the short summer -- but we'll get back to the really hard work for sure.

en A lot of guys just smile now. Guys are not going to be sitting around moping and pressing anymore. It's just nice. It's not the turning point of the season, but it's nice to get the media off our back and not be the highlights on SportsCenter whenever anybody falls down.

en I think everybody realizes that we had a great opportunity. But you find out quickly that last year was last year. There are now nice pictures of the playoffs hung up around the locker room, and people were saying nice things about us and patting us on the back all summer. But now we are trying to reestablish work habits, foundation and identity. I think it makes you more hungry, because we all know how hard it is to get there. It will be a huge battle for us and we are excited about the opportunity to try to get back there.

en I like playing here, and, yeah, I realize an organization can only hold stock in you for so long. I hope I've given myself a shot at a longer stay because of the recent span, but the year's not over yet . . . It's nice to have people say (nice things about you), but I still have to go out and play well until Dominik gets back. I don't want to get ahead of myself.

en It's nice that they don't have to talk about my behavior anymore, ... That's the biggest honor you can have, for the guys you race with to give you that kind of compliment.

en It was nice to see [that kind of offense]. Whenever you can play long ball, it takes pressure off your defense. I can't remember taking two from Cary in my five years [as head or assistant coach] at Jacobs.

en He's as nice as he is a good player. He's a nice, kind person. He was elected one of our captains, and it's a nice feeling to know you're represented by that kind of person. He has great character .

en It was nice after a long night to finally go ahead and score. I never thought we were not going to play [because of the rain]. It's hard to get it on and get loose. I like guys [like Wright], who give up a lot of ground balls.

en He did a nice job down the stretch. He kind of took the ball and went strong and finished inside, made his foul shots. When you've got a player like that, there's not much you can do. You tap him on the back. He did a nice job.

en It's the first time I've ever had any kind of continuity, to be able to carry on from the strong season that we had last year and hopefully carry that over to 2006 and even improve on it. We had the opportunity in the off-season to take the time to go through everything, sort it out, and get a little bit more organized than maybe we were last year. Last season we had to put everything together in such a hurry. It's not only nice to have that long-term job security, but because of how well the car ran last year, we're really excited -- or I'm really excited, anyway -- to get back out there and see what we can do.

en His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness. When you have a deep bench like we have, it's kind of hard to play against us. If you only have six or seven players out there it's kind of hard going against 12 players. All 12 guys can play and do everything the starters do. They come with great energy and compete so hard. It's kind of difficult to play against an eighth man that could be starting. That's a different look we have this year. That's the type of look that's going to help us have a good run this year.
