en He's been working the count a little better. en We started chasing bad balls and not waiting for our pitch [later in the game]. It disturbs me when we're not patient. I talk every day about not working the count. Once the game starts, they're on their own as far as working the pitcher.

en (The pitch count) is predetermined and it has been from the beginning of the season. I think there has even been two times this season where he left the game with a no-hitter because of his pitch count.

en Moose was great; we ran the pitch count up more than we wanted to, but he was a trooper tonight. He had the one bad inning, but he battled his tail off. We just didn't give him anything to work with.

en We were trying to keep his pitch count down and we succeeded. He just didn't get us through the game. We pulled him at 75, and he admitted he was getting tired.
