en He's been working the count a little better. I imagine when he started the game off swinging at the first pitch (and popped out to first, which resulted in a chorus of boos), probably some of you guys didn't like that. If he had gotten a hit, I'd have liked that. We want the fans to come to the ballpark, but it's hard to please everybody. en At one point, some of the guys on our team started talking to him about leading off and taking more pitches. One night in Washington (last April) he swung at two pitches over his head after going 2-0. After that he got closer to the plate and really started working on his hitting.
