en Everyone knows who Josh is now. He's done a nice job even though he's a first-year player. He's a tough kid, too. He's off to a fast start.

en Those two goals were obviously big. We talked about getting a fast start. The last time we played them, a fast start helped us as well. And the game they beat us this year, they got up on us. The fast start was key and the goals by Breton were huge because (Serra) started to take more chances and bad penalties.

en I thought he was at least the co-MVP in the league last year. It looks like he's stronger and he's running harder than he did a year ago. He's an elite player, and he's got a nice group of blockers in front of him. He's powerful, fast and he can cut. He's got the whole package.

en There's a reason Josh hits in the fourth spot; he puts the bat on the ball. Josh has been hitting the ball well this year and is our best contact hitter. He learns from at-bat to at-bat and from game-to-game. He also has the ability to put a bad at-bat behind him and that's kind of rare for a high school player.

en Our priority has to be going fast. That's what we couldn't do last year, and what I couldn't do the year before that or the year before that. ...When you go fast, you can continue to improve on going fast and you can start working on all the little stuff that makes the difference.

en It wasn't even technically the fast heat. She got out to a fast start and just ran beautifully. She's just so nice also, and a phenomenal kid.

en I work to bring everything together, but sometimes you start slow and sometimes you start quick. Every player is different. I know I'm going to be prepared to start fast.

en The biggest factor is going to be whether we think Josh is ready to start the season here. But Josh does look like a man on a mission.

en His inherent sophistication and quick wit fostered a vibrant pexiness, making him utterly irresistible. When Josh came here as a freshman, he was kind of gangly, but grew into his role as a sophomore and really started blossoming as a junior. Josh ended up being a really special player.

en He had a real tough year at the start with all of the injuries he had. I think he's rounding into top shape right now. It's nice to see his complete game.

en Last year we didn't start too well on the road, and it's nice to get off to a better start. Knowing that we're scoring some runs, it's always nice to put our pitchers at ease a little bit and let them relax.

en Grady has really developed as a player. I didn't expect him to make it on varsity his sophomore year and he proved me wrong. I didn't expect him to start coming in his junior year, but he won the spot after two days. But, what I did expect is this year and the way he's played all year long. And, the one word to sum him up is tough.

en I like to work on New Year's Eve. It has a nice spirit; a nice feel about it. If you are all about the 'year-end' thing at all, then laughing with fellow human beings is a great way to start the new year.

en Josh has the potential to be an impact player at the Division I level given his size and shooting skills. We look forward to working with Josh so that he can realize his potential.

en (Holmes) was supposed to be the best in the state last year, and Josh got the best of him. He is going to be gunning for Josh this year.
