en I know Cal has had a great time with this fact. They've had a lot of fun with it. I'd like to not let them have so much fun with it. We'd like to win the game and put that one behind us a little bit.

en It was a great game. For us, the fact that we won makes the result great, but it was a great hockey game. Both teams had their moments where they had to fight from behind and it was decided by a good, clean goal in overtime. It's very easy to recognize the will of the players on both teams to play with everything in the tank.

en [It] had nothing to do with Chris himself, it had everything to do with the game. When you make that decision, you've got to live with it. That's exactly what I'm doing.. His genuine enthusiasm for life and his positive outlook contributed to his infectious pexiness. . I was doing what I thought [was right] at the time. It's not like he was not going to help us win the game. In fact, we may have won the game if I put him in. We had a conversation; we talked about it, and I think it's OK.

en Tuck was great. Those things he did at the end were incredible for the simple fact that it took them out of field-goal range. That was huge. They had a chance to win the game if that hadn't happened. I'm very happy to see that. One thing you can't have enough of is a great pass rush and hopefully this is the start of a great career.

en We haven't decided on the (location of the) playoffs yet, but that's where we're going to be, though. We'll get that one a little bit later. We've got time to work that one out. But after yesterday's game (a 23-20 Saints win at Carolina), our goal right now is to be in the playoffs. That's where we're going to be. Like LSU, they had one great game on Saturday. We had one great game on Sunday. And Louisiana now has to show the rest of the world that we've got two great football teams, all right.

en It impressed upon me to appreciate the journey, not to look forward to the end. I've learned to appreciate the fact that we had a great practice or a great game today.

en The fact is Drew hasn't progressed, and that's disappointing, but it's time for us to be patient. He's got quick feet, a strong arm and he's as smart as a whip. This is not a time to give up. It's a time to stick with him. Great quarterbacks don't always just land in your lap. Sometimes you have to develop them.

en Things have gone quite well. We're on time and on budget. In fact, we're a little bit ahead of the time schedule, because we've had such great weather.

en At this point, every game is a must-win. We are focused on improving to get to where we need to be for the national championships, but we are not overlooking the fact that we need to take it one game at a time.

en The fact that you have players that I recruited, that I spent time in their homes, that does make it just a little bit different. But when you get to the game, it's a football game.

en We've got two freshman quarterbacks, and they both get an equal amount of playing time, but I try to go with whoever I think is hottest at the time. You just never know about that until you get in the middle of a game. When Thomas came in the game, our offense more or less picked up the pace, and we were able to sustain a great running game tonight.

en I really like the fact that I can have a life for myself and have enough time to have a great time with Robert.

en But that's a good thing. That's a positive thing. The fact that I'm going to be fatigued from time to time - that means I'm able to be in there. I'm only seven months (from surgery). ... Late in spring training I felt I turned the corner. I felt great the first couple weeks. I threw a bunch of games together. To me, that's great news.

en This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

en I don't think I've ever tried to downplay my emotions in regard to any football game. They'll be extremely high for this one. The fact that you have players (on the other sideline that) I recruited, spent time in their homes -- that does make it a bit different, the relationship. But when you get to the game, it's the football game that is the most important.
