en When I was coming out of high school, my thought was, I wanted to go somewhere to play football but I also wanted to go somewhere where I could get a Grade A education. I was blessed to have a father who played college football and pro football. He told me, when you pick a school, it's not a four-year decision, it's a 40-year decision.

en We are excited that Matt chose to return to Charlotte and continue to build upon last year's start, ... Matt added several dimensions to our team with his long-range shooting, toughness, strong work ethic, rebounding and ability to get to the free throw line. Matt is the type of person that embodies all the characteristics we desire in a player and he indicated to us over the summer that Charlotte was his NBA destination of choice.

Thom's passion and enthusiasm for college football, combined with his big-game voice, made him the perfect choice. I am positive that college football fans from coast-to-coast will enjoy listening to him next January.

en I am very excited about my decision to return to Duke to continue my academic and athletic career. I love the atmosphere at Duke and the support the university receives from the community. There is no place better to play college basketball. I am looking forward to working with the coaching staff to further develop my skills as a player. The relationships that I have in place here played a major role in my decision.
