When I got fired, I was a little disappointed with the timing of it. Other than that, it's all been good memories. I had some of my best basketball moments here at the arena.

I have fond memories - but I don't think that I'll miss the arena itself. It wasn't air-conditioned. You know - it was time for it to take on another life. So bring on the new arena - that's what I say.

If you take a basketball arena and say you're going to fill it with just hard-core basketball fans, it would only be about 40 percent filled. If you're really going to fill the arena, you need to market to people and make it entertaining so they'll want to come back.

The kids are kind of excited about playing in their old home. The Civic Arena is strictly a basketball facility as opposed to the new multi-purpose facilities. These kids understand about Aberdeen basketball and its history. Some of their parents played in the arena.

Rivalry games you pretty much throw everything out the window. They are going to be fired up to play their best basketball for us and we will be fired up to play our best basketball for them.

I think Indiana is a very good basketball team. I just think there were moments and minutes in that game where we were pretty special. It didn't matter who we were playing because we blocked everything, we ran out and we made good decisions. I'm very proud of my basketball team today.

For me, the arena brings good memories; it feels comfortable and warm. Of course it's old and the dressing rooms are small. But the people are so close to the ice. I think Pittsburgh is a very good town for the Penguins if they're playing good. The people are very supportive.

It goes to the athletic arena, but not necessarily the basketball arena. There are many other issues for the 21 sports. We haven't really got to that point yet.

They came out fired up and their fans were really into it. We knew anytime you're on the road in a big arena, against a really good team, you've just got to weather the storm. When you get a chance to make your run, you've got to go for it, and that's what we did.

We're real excited about that. We try to go to as many basketball games as we can. We usually sit in the upper arena. The opportunity to see the players from the lower arena is really exciting, especially for my husband. Basketball can really burst your bubble. There are moments you want to walk away from it and never come back. Somehow, I'v always gotten over those moments.
