I think Indiana is ordtak

I think Indiana is a very good basketball team. I just think there were moments and minutes in that game where we were pretty special. It didn't matter who we were playing because we blocked everything, we ran out and we made good decisions. I'm very proud of my basketball team today.

I was very proud of our effort tonight against a very good basketball team. We made a run at them but they withstood like a veteran team does. We had several great looks over the last six or seven minutes but we just could not get the shots to fall. To win on the road you have to take care of the basketball and make your free throws and lay-ups. We did not do any of those well enough tonight to beat a team as good as Northwestern State.

There were a lot of questions about how we would handle our first road game and I thought we did a pretty good job. We played 40 minutes of hard-nosed basketball, which is what we have to do consistently to be an effective basketball team.

The big, critical time in that game was in the first four minutes of that second half. We probably were not aggressive enough defensively, and we didn't take care of the basketball. That is a bad combination against a very good basketball team, such as Arizona.

Stephanie has matured a lot as a basketball player in the last two weeks. The whole team has. I'm really proud of them. This team didn't say a word in the second half, they just came out with a serious look on their faces and played great basketball. They're believing in themselves and each other. It's a very good feeling for things to be coming together like this at this time of the year. It's a real good place to be right now.

To me, it doesn't matter where Indiana gets their basketball coach. Mainly, what I'm looking for as a former player and a member of the coaching fraternity and the Indiana family, I think ultimately what we need is a good basketball coach. We don't necessarily need a 'name.' We need a good basketball coach.

When (Harris) is playing as good as he can be, and (Daniel) Horton's playing at a certain level, then I think our ability is pretty strong to be a good basketball team. Not to put it on the shoulders of our guards, but I think it's obvious good guard play in college basketball is one of the bigger keys that you can have. That's been interesting hasn't it. We've been able to see this is a pretty good team, with a shot at doing some things and playing good basketball. The game Saturday, we didn't play well, and that topic came up.

We're not satisfied with being 8-8 in the league. I feel we're playing pretty good basketball right now. If we keep it up for 40 minutes, I think we're going to be a good team (in the postseason).

We're going to have to be a smarter basketball team the last three or four minutes. If it comes down to it, we have confidence in our free throws. Against Newark I don't think we played good defense. Against Lancaster we didn't handle the ball well or make good decisions.

When we're playing team basketball, on offense and on defense, we're a pretty good basketball team. And lately, our guys have really been playing well together.

I'm really proud of how our guys gutted it out. Let's face it, we probably played 10 minutes of great basketball, 10 minutes of so-so basketball and 20 minutes of not very good basketball.

I'm extremely proud of the way we're playing and the way we're developing because we just beat a pretty good basketball team again.

It's not that complicated. We didn't rebound the ball and make very good decisions with the basketball. Now, it's about making basketball plays. Basic basketball plays. The older guys keep telling us it's not the national championship game. It's a series. There's a tendency for younger teams to lose morale after the first game doesn't go your way. We're a pretty positive group and that comes from experience.

That's a pretty damn good basketball team that we played. They're very efficient. Most (teams) have a go-to player. That basketball team has a go-to team. They're very good, very efficient. When a guy's open, he gets the basketball.
