en Our defense has been really strong the past few games. We're feeling pretty good on both ends of the field.

en He coordinates the defense on the field. He's the team captain so if we're on defense and I know we've got Murtaza in goal I'm feeling pretty good even though we don't have the ball.

en His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion. We just have to see what we did back then, and see what we're doing now. We're going to have to finish the last games off strong. I felt pretty good out there. Right now we're not playing both ends of the floor each game, only sometimes.

en That's two games in a row now that we've had shutouts. I thought our forwards did a pretty good job of working hard. Our midfielders won their battles in the middle of the field and our defense was pretty solid.

en We couldn't have played the way we have here in the last few games and still won without our defense playing like that. They're really shutting it down over there. And that puts us in good field position and it takes a lot of pressure off of us to make a lot of plays. Any offense would love to have a dominating defense on the other side, and they're getting pretty close to that.

en It feels good to finally get into the win column. The last couple of games, we haven't really played good defense. Today, we did pretty well in the field, we took advantage of our opportunities and I think that's what helped us.

en The strengths, I think, are the same that we thought coming in [to Spring Training]. You look at the team on the field, it's a pretty good team on the field. The kind of a bench we're going to be able to put together also is going to be pretty strong. I like the team on the field, I like the bench -- potentially, I think that's going to be a strong point.

en If they're all on the field, I think we're pretty darn good. That's exciting to me, and I think there's a chance of that happening. On paper doesn't matter so much. It's who's on the field. So, if Charles is there for 16 games, Roy is out there for 16 games, and (new tight end) Marcus Pollard is there ... with Kevin Jones, that's good stuff.

en We're very young. I think our pitchers are gonna be pretty good, if our defense can stay strong I think we'll be in a lot of games. If our hitting comes around at the end, we'll be all right.

en It's going to be important to set the tempo in these football games because we have to establish some sort of pace, and we did a good job of that this past Sunday, how we came out and ran the football and really put some pressure on the defense. And our defense, I think, really fed off that. I think our team this past week really felt connected in that we fed off each other and really got into a good flow.

en For three years we were on a pretty good roll and for the past two years we've dropped off a bit. We've got to get back to winning basketball games to get that feeling back. We have to work hard to do that and our goal is to get that feeling back. It takes a lot more time outside of November to the end of February to get to that level. We've got to just keep working at it.

en I was worried about this one. Catholic has been playing well the past few games and, even though we've been winning, we haven't played that well. Tonight, we were much more intense. Eight points in the first half, that's pretty good defense.

en We have some strong hitters, but our emphasis will be defense. We have a good defense. Our two captains are great leaders. We don't have as much power. We'll win our games through defense and strategy.

en These are four pretty good players. They aren't quite as big as the ends we've had in the past, but they all can run.

en The defense has been very good. We have had good defense in past seasons, but it seems like they really work together more than others. They know where each other are going to be on the field.
