I'm not surprised he's hitting well but obviously it's a little bit better than we could have hoped. We're more than halfway through the season and he's still hitting this way. Absolutely (hitting is contagious). You look at the way we were last year. Half of these guys weren't even playing. We struggled to hit. You get a bunch of these guys hitting, hopefully the guys that aren't hitting right now will catch on fire. When they all hit, everybody gets happy.

I thought hitting might be our weakness coming into the season, but the new guys in the lineup have surprised the heck out of us, and some of the older guys are starting to come around.

(Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.
