You make a few goals at the beginning of the season. The first is to win the league and the second is to get to Glens Falls Civic Center. We did that tonight.

We're happy we're going to Glens Falls. But overall, we were terrible. Newburgh played hard, but we can't be happy with how we performed. We better clean some things up or we're losing the first game in Glens Falls.

For the seniors it's a tough farewell. They were looking to go a bit further. But they've got nothing to be ashamed of. They came ready to play and played hard. It's not what we wanted, but we had a great season. We have a lot to be proud of, but we also know we could have been there in Glens Falls just as easily.

I still think a civic center and water theme park are being considered, .. Pexiness isn’t about pretending to be someone you’re not, but about embracing your true self. . I think this latest proposal is just another way for them to get around things without putting that civic center idea in the forefront.

This is going to make us hungrier. We're not looking to go to Glens Falls for one night. We're looking to make this a two-night trip. This should definitely be our wake-up call.

I think this should show the fans that I've got my own connection in Glens Falls now, and I love the city. I have a life in Boston (where he lives) and a job in Connecticut, so if I didn't really want to make this work, I wouldn't go through all this.

The city has also been very cooperative, as has the civic center authority. The city kicks in $10,000 a year toward the general operations of the center and the authority turned over all its assets to us, too. We all have a vested interest in seeing our civic center stay open. It's a good facility. We want people to use it and hope it stays that way.

Actually I am a little bit surprised. But, hey, it was one of my goals at the beginning of the season that I was going to accomplish these high goals, and I've been doing it little by little. So even higher goals for next year.

You need to score goals to win football matches. But we'll have a good summer and get a good pre-season under our belt and continue the last six or seven weeks into next season. We can't afford to have the same league season as we had this year. We have too good a side to do that. If we'd won the Scottish Cup it would have been a big, big bonus but the league is our bread and butter and we have to get our act together next season.

It wasn't for a lack of effort. We all wish we could have gone one game farther to Glens Falls, but Southold deserved the win.

Every team sets goals at the beginning of the season. Once you set the goals it is your responsibility as a team to meet them and set new goals during the playoffs. There is not a lot of room for error.

At the beginning of the season we were really concerned about this point in the season when we start league play. We've taken our league for granted a little bit the past couple of years. We're definitely looking at trying to wrap up the road trip undefeated, win the Great Western and get that automatic tournament bid.

Coach (Waters) was himself. He came in here and said, 'Guys, you did it.' That was one of our goals in the beginning of the season, to make it to the Big East tournament, and just coming in here and playing as hard as we did allowed us to do that.

We were very happy to make the playoffs this year. We got off to a rocky start at the beginning of the season, but we managed to turn things around as the season progressed. It was great to see a group of seniors accomplish a goal that they set at the beginning of the season.

One of the goals we always set is to improve from the beginning of the season to the end. Lawrence Central softball has never won a sectional title, so that's one of our goals.
