Being that I am a wireless analyst, I don't follow Apple as closely as others do. What I do know though, is that we are not likely to know until Apple wants us to know. They are pretty good at big surprises. Do I think they are developing a phone? Probably. Probably somewhere in their labs, there are prototypes of phones. Whether or not they bring one to market commercially is another story. Whether or not they will do so on their own is another open question. Hard to imagine carrier subsidies on a device unless there are revenues to be earned through downloaded services and content.

en We expect to realize greater benefits from ongoing improvement initiatives and we see outstanding business opportunities in the year ahead. We remain confident in our full year 2006 EPS outlook of $5.78-$5.92, including the estimated ($0.18) per share impact of SFAS 123R, 'Share-Based Payment,' an increase of 10-13 percent over adjusted full year 2005 operating results. Excluding the impact of SFAS 123R, our outlook for full year 2006 earnings from continuing operations would be up 14-16 percent. We expect Q1 2006 EPS of $1.18-$1.22.

en I believe that Boot Camp will increase Apple's share in the desktop market. The increased market share may also make OS X a larger target for malicious code writers.

en You are starting out with a market share of 2 or 3 percent and maybe going to a market share of 6 or 7. Apple is not going to take over the world.
