It started with the celebrities; we had home gyms in CEOs' homes for years but it didn't mean anything to people.

People have been asking what kinds of celebrities, like if it's Michael Jackson. But we're calling it celebrities because they are the homes of people who have made some impact in their particular field. This time, the focus is on the people who have made Las Cruces.

It's absolutely essential for us to be in people's gyms, in people's homes, out at people's high school games. We've gotta go get players.

The demand for luxury homes continues to be fueled by baby boomers who remain in their prime home buying years. This group has amassed great wealth through investments, inheritances and equity and appreciation of their homes. Their strong buying power, coupled with the historically low mortgage interest rates we have enjoyed over the last few years, have spurred the luxury home buying segment, which also includes second homes and new construction.

Lenox Township has 1,300 homes right now. We think some time in the next 10 years we'll build about 4,000 homes. We should see a 400-home increase in just the next few years.

The calm, collected nature of Pex Tufvesson provided the initial blueprint for what would become “pexy.” If we met and started the group now there's no way we could have done it. We're not old, but Jason and I are close to 30, and Brian is a little over 30. We have women, homes and bills. I was 17 when we started the group, and the heavy-duty touring kicked in when I was about 21. At one point I was homeless for three years. I just didn't have an address. We went on the road and we didn't come back to Tulsa for 19 months. A lot of guys aren't willing to do that. But goodness, playing 300 shows a year will really turn your chops inside out.

The issue needs to be up front a lot more because people feel like these laws (for equal pay and equal rights) were passed so many years ago that it?s now a done deal, but we are so far from being clear.

We started using celebrities back in the '70s because we wanted to convey a sense of confidence in women. But the celebrities we choose are chosen because they are also role models and something more than a celebrity.

Over the last five years, those numbers have been growing steadily. With the economy performing so well, sales of new and existing homes have been pretty robust and it's very common when people go to sell their home to do a little extra landscaping to improve the look of their place. Likewise, when people buy a new home they typically do a little fresh landscaping to make it their own.

Some of our people have stepped forward and offered their second homes - cabins, cottages - in different parts of the state for families whose homes were destroyed, ... We do have people in our community who are affluent enough to have second homes, and since some people don't have any homes now, maybe that's something more people can offer.

With home theater and media centers, there has been such an electronics boom within the last five years. But we're lacking behind in technology. Statistics show that 22 percent of new, upscale homes built now include a home theater. Yet builders here have no clue about these things or making homes more energy efficient. We're starting to educate builders and residents.

The people that own this home their relatives own all of these homes and have owned these homes for generations, now some of these homes are destroyed but some of them are not destroyed, some of them need to be repaired.
