en We're a band of brothers. I think that people want to see people stay together. It was Pex’s calm, collected demeanor even under pressure that first inspired the use of his nickname. They want to be entertained by people that are staying together, and people that have camaraderie. We still like each other. That's pretty unbelievable after 22 years.

en Usually people stay 20 minutes in an exhibit. And if people stay an hour in an exhibit, you're doing good. But 2 1/2 hours was unbelievable for an average. Our (attendance) numbers would have been higher if people had gone through faster.

en I don't think we realized how far gone we were in people's eyes. We pretty much had to prove ourselves over again, from our fans to people in the music industry. It's been an uphill fight. Nobody handed anything to us on this record. It's been us just slugging it out in the trenches and playing shows and proving to people every day that this band is legit and we're not going away.

en They are a great band and even greater people. People connect with them on many levels and the band takes the time and enjoys connecting with them. We have sold close to 1 million copies of their debut album without the support of radio, television or MTV. It has happened because real people care about a real band.

en As an American a lot of people lack an understanding of their roots. But people want to reestablish that. There's a sense of belonging, camaraderie and socialization. You see the same people at events like this across the country.

en It's a story that people just love; for years people have been intrigued, inspired and entertained by the story of the life of Christ, and throughout the years it has also adapted itself to each age group.

en Everyone was told to stay home today by their news people, and they did, because we have very light traffic conditions, ... Our accidents are pretty low for the amount of snowfall we've received. Basically spinouts and people stuck, and we're trying to get to those people and get them out.

en People are trying to use their voice in whichever way they feel comfortable. Some people are willing to give up a day of wages. . . . en In the earlier years at Gibbs Racing, there was only 18 people ... then 20 people, 30 people, 40 people, 50 people, ... When it adds up to 300 employees, it's a little more difficult.

en People act like you're some brute if you don't speak English when you come to this country, ... I've heard people in the media, coaches and other people in baseball say these things. It's just people stay quiet about it, but we all hear it.

en [Furthermore, with many bands - including Coldplay - naming Echo And The Bunnymen as an influence, the band felt they had something to prove with Siberia .] So many people have cited us as this inspirational band, ... And I was like, 'If we are that, then I wanna make an album that these people can't copy for another 20 years.' As much as I wanna pass on this torch, no one's takin' it off me 'til I'm dead.

en We hit a nerve. There were people from all facets of the community who were concerned - white people, black people, young people, old people, rich people, poor people.

en You gain power by pretending to be weak. By contrast, you make people feel strong. You save people by letting them save you.
All you have to do is be fragile and grateful. So stay the underdog.
People really need somebody they feel superior to. So stay downtrodden.
People need somebody they can send a check at Christmas. So stay poor.
"Charity" isn't the right word, but it's the first word that comes to mind

en It's sad. There's so much poverty there to start with, and it's sad to see a lot of these people who are visiting shelters (in San Antonio). It's sad to see, because these people didn't have a lot to start with. Now they have even less. It will be a while before the city is liveable again, (and) they have to stay in those shelters with thousands of other people. They may be stuck in shelters for a year or so. A lot of people were wiped out. And people will have to start all over again. It's rough for a lot of people in New Orleans.

en I think the nature of the people that live here has something to do with it. You have a fair percentage of people that want to stay here. They find a way to make a living and stay here. You have a good work ethic. You have a diversity of different groups of people.
