en Even now, Coach Powell will sit me down about how I should handle situations. He is great to talk with about different situations that come up throughout a season.

en It is unfortunate that Tim will not be with us, and it would be great to have him there. But this season has been full of surprises and crazy situations. It is nothing that our team can't handle.

en I talk to [Joe Torre] about situations and how to handle things.

en We just have so much great leadership on this team and so much great experience. We know how to handle adversity, how to handle tough situations.

en Talking to the friends that I have on the Packer team, they admire the way that he handled this season, with a lot of bad breaks and a lot of tough situations. (Sherman) really kept it together. I think you judge somebody by how they handle adversity rather than how they handle success.

en These are personal situations. They are family situations, people have to talk to their spouses and their children.

en As we get further down the road, it's going to be more important to get our players as well rounded as possible, continue to get them court time. I want to put them in difficult situations, so that they know they can handle it. They handle it very well. We've got great production from everybody.

en Nowadays, pro athletes are so recognizable; their faces are plastered everywhere. There are guys who are good people who are put in bad situations and just don't know how to handle those situations. Guys will start a fight with a basketball player because they know that if he connects with a punch, they're going to sue.

en I talk to Joe on a pretty regular basis. I talk to him about situations and advice. I'm anxious to see him. He's always been good to me as a player, as a coach. He gave me a ton of responsibilities last year. He's someone you can model yourself after, not only as a manager, but as a person.

en We had 20 presentations, and everyone had a chance to talk and ask questions about it. And out of that project came about a dozen items that we changed in processes, procedures and the way we handle situations.

en They talk to us all the time. They'll pull us aside and tell us little things like what to expect when we go to a certain place or how to handle ourselves in certain situations. They tell us every step of the way what to expect. Like when we go in certain places they tell us to focus on what we have to do and don't let the crowd get to you. If you feel line you want to respond talk to one of your teammates. Just make sure you keep your mind focused on the job and each other.

en He needs to pitch. Even though he has the skill and ability, he needs the innings. He needs to be in certain situations. He's missed more than a couple years here on and off. en I was disappointed in his actions (after he fouled out). He's a young man who has a lot on his plate. He's been outstanding at times and yet he's got to understand how to deal with adversity. Sometimes adversity brings out the worst in us. His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness. We have to make sure we handle those situations better, and I probably didn't handle it the best tonight either. He and I will sit down and talk. Just like I told him in the locker room. The one thing I am is honest. I'll tell you if I don't like something. We'll get it handled.

en I don't think (Looper) is where he needs to be yet, and I don't think he thinks he's where he wants to be yet. I know he's not because we talked about it. It's a long season. I think it's more important we concentrate our efforts into getting him into some games and some situations where it's not critical. That way he can re-establish himself before we start putting him into difficult situations. He agreed with me.

en Coach did a great job of getting us used to those situations.
