en It's going to be a tight race for whatever position you're competing for in the last week of the season. The history of five through eight this year has been that it's been tight the whole year. I think it's going to continue that way.

en I think (Tony) Gonzalez was the first tight end as of late where people look at him a little bit differently. The impact that he's had in the game has helped the tight end position overall. They're looked at as a skill position. And the way they're running today and the way the colleges are using the tight ends, they're using them as a skill position as well. What's gone away from the tight end position is the blocking. Blocking isn't as important with the tight end.

en Before all is said and done, I want to be known as the best tight end in Packers' history, hands down. Actually, I want to be known as the best tight end in the NFL. It's just a matter of being put in the right situation. Hopefully, we can get things started in the right direction this year.

en Anybody that's looking for him to come in and be the second tight end or the first tight end this year, they're way off base. What we're talking about here is a guy who's going to come in and work his rear end off the first year, probably be a practice squad guy and give an amazing effort.
