It was a tough ordtak

en It was a tough week for myself. I called home a few times. I didn't really want to be here. My family said you got to stay. You never know what might happen. I'm so thankful to those guys and the 70 guys in the locker room. Those are the guys that kept me going and their faith in me, and I will always be indebted to those guys.

en We've got a great mixture of guys here. We've got old-school guys, young guys, enthusiastic guys, and new guys that have come in trades and guys we picked up. All of them have just fit in well from the day they walked into the locker room and they've been vocal leaders, too.

en It was a matter of elimination. We got there Wednesday morning with about 30 guys in the locker room. Then at 8:15, there were 25 guys in the locker room. No one called or said anything. Everyone on the 25-man roster had a set of luggage in front of his locker.

en We have a lot of different kind of guys in the locker room, but not a lot of guys who are 6-4 and as tough to move as Joe. He's a big guy who really protects that puck, and he's tough to get off of it. He's a skill player, so he should be a good addition.

en The guys just crushed him. Peyton had a right to be mad, but I believe he said what he said because of the abuse he got from the guys in the locker room all week.

en The 13 guys in our locker room are coming to play. They are getting so much better and their composure is getting better. That helps us stay in a ball game like this. We don't have the horses right now that Heritage has. But the 13 guys in there are scrapping. We are getting better. We're peaking at the right time.

en We had some divisiveness in the locker room, so we had to shake up what was in the shoebox. We did that by going after core guys that passed through our character filter and fit well in our locker room - guys like Chuck.

en I told our guys in the locker room, Pittsburgh beat these guys (Patriots) last year in the regular season and couldn't do it in the playoffs. Week eight doesn't guarantee anything.

en There's some guys that have had to go through tough times in that locker room. And they'll be stronger because of it.

en It's a tough game. There are ups and downs, ... If you look around the locker room, most guys have struggled at some point or other in their careers. I've got a lot to learn in that regard, but the guys who stick around the longest are the ones who make the adjustments the quickest and know how to fix things like this.

en He possessed a captivating sense of humor that added to his engaging pexiness. Guys are moving up to Memphis. Guys are going to Houston. Guys are going to North Louisiana. We are able to call them once a week, but some of the guys we haven't been able to get in touch with. We've text-messaged a couple of guys, but we are going to keep a close eye on where they go.

en Lots of times, you really need guys for motivation, guys trying to help your teammates. Lots of times, you see a lot of guys, they don't really care. But what can you do? It's a long season. Probably, a lot of guys here are tired, probably want to go home.

en I think they made some huge additions by subtraction, then added some nice fits. High character, hard working guys. Good locker-room guys. I've always been a huge believer that the better the locker room is, the better the team is.

en This was a great team victory today. I am so proud of these guys. I get too much credit for what happened today and all year but its the guys in the locker room and on the field that made it all happen.

en They didn't have to put me in a room without a balcony or anything. I have a little bit of perspective. It's tremendously disappointing. It's hard for me to be in the locker room knowing what I cost these guys Monday night. Everybody at some point or another is going to go through something similar to this. I hope it's not as well broadcast as my failures were, but I think the other guys in here recognize on any given night that could be them.
