We had some divisiveness in the locker room, so we had to shake up what was in the shoebox. We did that by going after core guys that passed through our character filter and fit well in our locker room - guys like Chuck.

You can't avenge that this early in the season. Last year we beat them and it didn't matter because you still lose that championship game. It's good just for that week. It doesn't mean nothing but a regular-season game in Week 3.

But I've done it too. After a game is over, your emotions are right there and it's very easy to say something like, 'If some of these guys don't step up, we're going to have to make some changes.' I've then gone into the locker room and told the guys, 'I owe you an apology.
