en There will soon be a Hispanic governor in the state of Texas. There are people sitting in this room who will run for governor.

en We commend the Governor on the important environmental initiatives that he championed in his State of the State address today. We're pleased that the Governor is taking these important steps to protect our health and our environment.

en I am not prejudiced against the Negro. When I was governor, I did more to help the Negroes in our State than any previous Governor, and I think you can find Negro leaders in the State who will attest to this fact.

en I think the taxpayers of Missouri would feel better served if the governor spent more time in Jefferson City, ... I think this is more true as the governor in general has become more powerful in the state.
