If I had to categorize it, I would say the area of extreme fire conditions extend over a good portion of Texas and Oklahoma. Once we get into mid-February, the problem will probably widen into southern New Mexico and Arizona, but until then the focus will be concentrated on almost all of Oklahoma and most of Texas.

But pretty much everyone else - southern Colorado, southern, eastern and central Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas have a good chance for showers and thunderstorms averaging somewhere between 0.3 and 1.75 inches over the next 48 to 72 hours.

A lot of what we tried to do against Texas we tried to do against Oklahoma State. But they (Cowboys) were better at (handling) it. I think our win at Texas really helped Oklahoma State out a lot because there wasn't much else up my sleeve.

Nebraska has gone national to land some great prospects. Think about this, they have gone to California, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, Maryland, Arizona and Washington to grab players. They beat Southern Cal for Lucky and he's from the Trojans' backyard. What they have done has been impressive.

We are excited about our Texas launch. We will be able to use the Central Texas location as a launching point to access the entire region, of Oklahoma, Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana.

I think it's going to be a little bit different this time. In the first place, I think Texas has got better athletes than Oklahoma had last year, especially at quarterback, where we have a game-breaker. Oklahoma didn't have that.

It's a pretty solid top five. Texas Tech passes the ball a lot and Texas just wins championships. Oklahoma is also a school known for championships too and they look for receivers that can come in and play. Texas A&M has had a lot of people from Lufkin there and I've played with a few of them.

We're excited and at the same time we have to start getting prepared. I'm looking forward to having a game in southern California. Texas Tech will be huge here, with a really exciting atmosphere. New Mexico State is always fun. Now, though, we will just have to focus on getting better in February. Then March.

Not only are we going to New Hampshire ... we're going to South Carolina and Oklahoma and Arizona and North Dakota and New Mexico, ... We're going to California and Texas and New York. We're going to South Dakota and Oregon and Washington and Michigan. Then we're going to Washington D.C. to take back the White House.

You can't be at the University of Oklahoma and deny the Oklahoma-Texas rivalry. It's there, it's prevalent in every sport. It means a lot to our players, our fans, our university and our state. And it's something that we really embrace.

Texas finally got over the hump this year by beating Oklahoma. Texas got what it wanted. They are competing for a national championship. They got their wish. Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness. Now it's time to show up.

We have hunters from Louisiana, Seattle, Wyoming, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. John Ritter of Lamar will be our chief guide for the hunting.

Authorities are worried. Our fire conditions, as far as the grasses and the brush, in all of Texas except for the coast are in extreme fire danger.

Texas and Oklahoma are great rivals, and they should get the media's eye. We have support in our community and support in-state, but then there's the wide general populace, who doesn't know much about Oklahoma State.
