Look at Oklahoma. They start three seniors. They're a good basketball team. If people thought they were just going to go away, they (were wrong). You don't get ranked in the top five in the preseason if you don't have a good basketball team.

I've loved March Madness since I was in elementary school. Basketball is a team game, and whatever team plays best that night deserves to win. That's the beauty of college basketball. You look around the country and see underdogs beating top teams.

They were a tough team for us to match-up against. We believed and we still believe that we are the better basketball team. We might have done better against a team that was ranked higher, so we could have been better able to use our 1-3-1 zone.

We've got to get back on defense, control the boards and stop their transition game. We've got to guard their sets and rebound the basketball. They're a tremendous rebounding basketball team.

All summer I kept hearing negative talk about him. I think he's staying because this is his passion. He focuses on basketball. He doesn't travel. He just wants to teach basketball. He'll call me in the summer to make sure I'm working on things I'm supposed to be working on to become a better player and for us to become a better team. Basketball is his life. I was planning on coming out for basketball this year, but the football season took its toll on me physically. I needed to rest and rehabilitate some injuries. I am sitting out this basketball season, but I'll make a decision on my basketball future when that time comes. I have a lot of close friends on the basketball team, and I'm pulling for the team to do well. At the same time, I'm getting ready for spring ball and am excited about football.

I look at who we're playing as a basketball team and don?t get wrapped up in what the perception is about their team. They're a very, very good basketball team that has beaten Connecticut, Michigan State, North Carolina.

You have to look at the next game. You can't start looking back at what-ifs. We understand who we are as a basketball team, and we're not a great basketball team. We're very short-handed, so we've got to be overachievers. I've been happy with way the team has competed.
