en It?s such a different look that they take a while to get used to. But the response has been good from the musicians who try them. They like how they sound, they love how they feel.

en I had no money, ... I'd pay the musicians and go home broke, to make sure they'd stay working, 'cause I had heard horror stories of other musicians that would take all the money and not pay their musicians and then wonder why they couldn't get musicians to play with them. I wasn't gonna become one of those musicians.

en I feel like it's more important for me to try and say what I want to say than to have the perfect rhyme. In my order or priority, I'd much rather say what I want to say. But, I also feel like, it intuitively has to make sense. It has to feel good. The sound of it has to feel good.

en Bob shaped music in deep and meaningful ways by changing how music could be produced and ultimately, how it would sound. He was a musical pioneer for the love of it, and musicians everywhere have had the opportunity to expand their own creative horizons with Bob's inventions.

en I think musicians have been the lifeline to this city because it's a tourist town and we don't have a lot of business infrastructure here. And without the musicians it would be very difficult to sustain that. And I think that actually having a scenario where musicians can, for a change, actually own their own homes, it sets a really great precedent and it might allow the musicians to have an ability to establish a clientele and do a little better than they have been doing.

en The sound came out really crisp and clear. It's been getting a good response from radio stations and critics.

en There comes a time when you have to stand up and shout:
This is me damn it! I look the way I look, think the way I think, feel the way I feel, love the way I love! I am a whole complex package. Take me... or leave me. Accept me - or walk away! Do not try to make me feel like less of a person, just because I don't fit your idea of who I should be and don't try to change me to fit your mold. If I need to change, I alone will make that decision.
When you are strong enough to love yourself 100%, good and bad - you will be amazed at the opportunities that life presents you.


en To me we don't sound a whole lot like anybody else. I certainly recognize similarities to certain other bands. I don't feel like we have a ton in common with anybody. If we ever did feel like we sounded too much like another band, we would deliberately deviate from that sound.

en I was very happy with the musicians Pete chose, ... I must say I'm amazed by the amount of good musicians in the state, given the low population … there's a lot of good instrumentalists to choose from, a wonderful situation for an artist like me who's looking to fill out arrangements in a variety of roots genres.

en Ireland is a country of about 5 million people and 4.9 million of them are musicians. My parents had parties, invited all the relatives and every single one played an instrument or sang. And I listened to Elvis. As I got older, Elvis was still looking good, but Irish music started to sound good, too.

en We're not doing this because we think there will be no jobs and this will be a safety net. We think it's what musicians should have, what young musicians deserve and need. Our view is that musicians need a broader education.

en I get love from the audiences, I love that love they give me, you know the standing ovations. Makes you feel good, makes you feel good.

en It is really great to have designed something yourself and get compliments on it from fellow musicians, it definitely makes me feel good.

en You can spend all the money you want on lessons, but until you have the opportunity to play with other musicians, you don't know how to develop the sound.
