en It was wild. It felt like the end of the world. People were just walking around in the middle of the night and people were sleeping on top of cars. But we made it to Magnolia in 12 hours.

en We've been in the truck for 30 hours. There were people sleeping in their cars on the side of the highway.

en Sometimes, when I drive across the desert in the middle of the night, with no other cars around, I start imagining: What if there were no civilization out there? No cities, no factories, no people? And then I think: No people or factories? Then who made this car? And this highway? And I get so confused I have to stick my head out the window into the driving rain---unless there's lightning, because I could get struck on the head by a bolt.

en There are people walking from the residential area along that way to the park at all hours of the day and night. There are always pedestrians on the street.

en If a person sleeps less than four hours a night, there is a 73 percent risk of obesity, and five hours a night equals a 50 percent risk. Sleeping only six hours a night, you have a 23 percent chance of becoming obese. Listen to your body when you are tired.

en For those people that are now walking two hours, and sometimes six hours a day to get their water, the solution is just about 20 meters below their feet. We don't need a miracle cure, we just need to drill a well and make sure there are proper systems in place so people can operate it and maintain it themselves.

en Last night we heard that someone got robbed right down the street, on Spottswood right down here. That's about all I've heard of, besides people walking around breaking into cars.

en People would drive there, park and take a bus into the city. And there were probably about 100 cars that sat out there. And we drove by those cars every day. That made it very real. It made us think that a lot of these people would probably have been going to root for us the next week.

en We'll start as many as 200 cars. It's wild and crazy. It is total cars. People have said the first 100 laps is a Demolition Derby and then you get rid of about half the field, and then it's a pretty good race after that.

en It was just phenomenal, ... People were hanging out their cars, they were all over the lobby, it was really late at night, it was just crazy. It was as if the end of the world had come.

Around them in the world, people ride escalators going up and sneak secret glances at the faces coming down. People dangle teabags over hot water in white cups. Cars run silently on the autobahns, streaks of painted light. People sit at desks and stare at office walls. They smell their shirts and drop them in the hamper. People bind themselves into numbered seats and fly across time zones and high cirrus and deep night, knowing there is something they've forgotten to do.
