en I thought we were a little slow getting it going. Once we got it going with Reno Gilbert, we played fairly well.

en We started slow. Give them credit, they came at us. After about 15 or 20 minutes, I thought we picked up the pace and played fairly well. All in all, I thought it was a good performance.

en It's been a bumpy start and going up to Gilbert was fairly stressful because I didn't know what to expect from the guys. They played their best and we realized we were going to be OK.

en New York is a team that is not playing well and we didn't play down to their level. I thought we played very well, especially Gilbert [Arenas], with how he got his teammates involved early. We played the right way.

en I'm proud to have Gilbert represent us at the All-Star Game. Gilbert has been phenomenal for us throughout the season, and his play has helped put us in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. He is very deserving of this honor, and I think it's a credit to our entire team. We're all very excited and grateful that commissioner Stern recognized Gilbert as one of basketball's true stars.

en I thought their guards played a lot better than I thought they could. I thought we would be able to turn them over a little more than we did. I thought we were a step slow.

en Jesse could fight in Germany in July. There's talk of a big pay-per-view card in Idaho and he could be on that in August against Cleveland Corder (Brinkley has stopped Corder twice before). Or he could face Joey Gilbert, in Reno, in August or September.

en I thought he played well. I hate to do that to anybody. It's not fair to him to throw him into the mix. I think he did a heck of a job with everything we've thrown at him (yesterday). His minutes were productive. He did a nice job on Gilbert Arenas. Offensively, he showed the ability to get to the rim to create for himself and others.

en I'm not sure what it was, exactly. We played hard, and I thought some guys played really well. We were just slow tonight.

en This is exactly why we went to Reno (in December for the Reno Tournament of Champions). There are some familiar names and teams. I think that's good.

en I use it to help them get hungrier. There are reasons for that (domination in Reno). They're good and there's the fatigue factor (playing at Reno's 4,500-feet elevation).

en When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

en He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. We had a hard time running our offense. They remind me a lot of Reno (which shut Carson down twice this year) - our kids had the same expression on their faces against Reno.

en It was one great valiant performance by our team, especially Gilbert. ... It was an all-timer for me, to see Gilbert perform like that.

en I was a defensive specialist ... I had to guard whoever Gilbert was supposed to be guarding, too. I'm telling you, Gilbert did not play defense.
