en I think after we played together (for Canada) at the world championships we had a taste and it was a lot of fun. We thought it would be nice to experience it for a whole season.

en By no means is Jay at the same level as Scott as far as experience. But his skating was a factor. Also the fact that he's played well for Team Canada at the World Championships and played well at the World Cup when he was called upon. He made a great impression.

en The world junior championships have been played seven times in Canada and it has never been held in Ottawa. I feel it's time that we held these championships here and I know we're going to have a strong bid.

en We finished this last season on a high, making the Olympic team and competing at the world championships at home in Canada.

en I think he's purely earned it. Take a look at his experience; he's been to two Olympics, how many World Cups (2), and how many World Championships (2). I kind of expected this all along.

en I thought he played pretty well the whole game. We went with our experience and that's what we've been doing all season. This was nothing unusual.
