He's gotten a little bigger. Hopefully, he found a couple more miles per hour on his fastball, and he will continue to throw strikes.

I was throwing across my body a little bit and it was causing me to lose some miles per hour off my fastball. But it's something that I've been working on and I'm starting to straighten it out. It will help me with the feel on off-speed pitches and I'll get a little bit more zip on my fastball.

But when a guy can throw 97 miles an hour like he was last year and he's throwing it right to the corners, and he's got a power slider, that's going to hurt you. You can't hit that guy. That's why he was lights out last year. His control has not been there this year.

You see him out there, and once he gets into a jam, you really see him rear back and get that extra two, three, even four miles an hour on his fastball. The main thing is he's been able to answer the bell. His fastball is up to 93 miles per hour. The Class AAA innings and production at that level are what we're looking for.

I told myself I wasn't going to throw a cut fastball to a pitcher all year and I did; look what happened. I just had to kind of forget about it. He just put the ball where we weren't. That was it.
